A massive THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to our Crowdfunder campaign - a massive £10,664 was raised! We are incredibly grateful to each and every one of you who donated, with your support the vital data collection programme can resume on board our research yacht, Silurian.
Through your generousity, Silurian’s anchor has been rasied and our crew have taken to the waves to collect acoustic data in Hebridean waters. We have been collecting this information on the underwater soundscape of Scotland’s west coast for over 15 years - it’s only through this long term monitoring that we are able to identify trends and changes to the marine environment. Thanks to you, we have bridged the gap created by the Covid-19 pandemic and maintained our dedicated commitment to the conservation of Scotland’s whales, dolphins, porpoises and basking sharks.
