HWDT run a number of events through-out the year, both in person and online; from family focussed activity sessions to guided outdoor experiences.

 

WINTER WEBINARS

Join our online series of friendly and informative talks on marine species, research and conservation topics. Each week, join a different guest speaker to learn more about whales in our waters, discuss conservation measures and ask experts your questions.

EVERY WEDNESDAY EVENING FROM JAN 08 UNTIL MAR 26

7PM - 8:30PM

Tickets are on a donation basis, with all funds raised protecting whales, dolphins and porpoises in our seas.

SMALL ISLES WHALE WATCH

Join HWDT for some sea-gazing from these gorgeous Hebridean Whale Trail sites across the Small Isles.

MONDAY 31 MARCH, 4-6PM: THE PIER, EIGG

WEDNESDAY 2 APRIL, 1:30-3:30PM: KINLOCH FERRY TERMINAL, RUM

THURSDAY 3 APRIL, 4-6PM: GALLANACH BAY, MUCK

Drop in events, no need to book and free to attend. Small number of binoculars available to use during the events.

WISE TRAINING

23 and 24 April, 7-9:30pm.

Become a WISE certified operator by taking part in the UK's national training scheme for best practice around marine and coastal wildlife to help minimise disturbance.

This course is aimed at individuals and businesses frequently operating around cetaceans, basking sharks, seals and/or seabirds.
