Watch the screening of the film TRULUCK, following Steve's passion for helping others fulfil their dreams of connecting with orcas.
For this week's winter webinar, we are hosting a screening of the short film TRULUCK. This promises to be an exciting watch all about killer whales in Scotland, the threats they are exposed to and the people that these wondrous creatures unite.
The film follows wildlife enthusiast and guide, Steve Truluck where a relocation to Scotland unexpectedly ignited what quickly became an obsession for marine wildlife. After a risky decision to drop his career and become a window cleaner to stay in Scotland, a surprise encounter with a humpback whale leads him to discover his purpose; helping others connect with whales and dolphins. Steve is now one of the UK’s leading whale watching guides; known predominantly for his ability to find Killer Whales in UK waters. We share the ups and downs of Steve’s favourite event in Scotland, Orca Watch, and discover how first encounters with these incredible animals can happen when they matter most.

Steve, previously part of the HWDT webinar series, is a passionate advocate for killer whales and marine mammals alike in Scottish waters. The film hopes to shed some light on how powerful a connection to marine life can be, as well as the threats that killer whales face and ways you can help protect them. Join us to watch this screening, followed by the behind the scenes work and a Q&A with Steve.

We want our talks to be accessible for everyone so optional subtitles will be generated during the webinar and we are asking you to pay what you can. Your donation will support marine conservation in Scotland. Thank you.
