WHALE TRACK SCHEME

What you get out of the scheme:

Every member of the Whale Track Scheme will be:

Offered initial and ongoing training and support from HWDT.
Listed on the HWDT website as a Whale Track Scheme Member.
Provided a free Whale Track Scheme sticker and species ID guide for vessel/website (additional sets can be purchased).
Offered the opportunity to provide guest articles in our Whale Track newsletter (6000+ subscribers) and content sharing on our social media channels.
Eligible to nominate your business for our yearly Whale Track Award

ELIGIBILITY:

Joining the Whale Track Scheme is free, but you must meet the criteria outlined below to be eligible. If you want to join but don’t meet the criteria and need training or any support to meet them, get in touch at sightings@hwdt.org.

Each vessel has a WISE trained/certified crew member who is listed on the WISE website.
Report sightings and submit photographs through Whale Track.
Submit a minimum of 12 excursions each season (we recommend a minimum time of 30 minutes for an excursion, but longer excursions are preferred).
All Whale Track accounts submitting reports on behalf of the business have the boat operator name included in the username (this is to enable us to track the number of excursions you complete each year).

HWDT have the right to remove anyone from the scheme that does not continue to meet the required criteria for joining.

How many additional Whale Track Scheme stickers and ID guides do you require? (these will incur a charge, see below)

You will receive 1 free Whale Track Scheme sticker and species ID guide as part of joining the scheme. If you require more for multiple boats, please indicate how many additionals you require of each below. Costs are outlined below, which we will invoice you for. Whale Track Scheme stickers £4.20 each ID guides £2 each P&P approx. £2.50
