Finance and Admin Officer

The Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust is looking for a Finance and Admin Officer to join our friendly team in Tobermory. Starting December 2024.

Finance and Admin Officer: Permanent, 30 hour per week role, £24,950 pro rata, per annum starting salary.

HWDT is looking for a Finance and Admin Officer to provide crucial financial and administrative support for our team, enabling us to deliver impactful marine mammal conservation projects in Scotland.

As a key member of our team the Finance and Admin Officer will undertake day-to-day finance tasks and assist in the management of the financial activities of the Trust.

We are looking for somebody with previous experience in a similar role. Our ideal candidate will have strong financial management and documentation and record keeping skills and be confident using a cloud-based finance software such as QuickBooks. Experience of organisational or project budgeting including full cost recovery would be an advantage.

The ability to be a friendly and professional first point of contact for email enquiries and callers to HWDT offices and provide reliable administrative support for our small team is essential to this role.

We are seeking someone who is pro-active, organised with good attention to detail, and able to work to tight deadlines, to deliver the varied tasks required to ensure the efficient operation of the office and administrative systems.

The role is based from the HWDT office in Tobermory, with some working from home available. The hours can be worked over 4 or 5 days per week to suit individual circumstances.
