Whale Track: Clyde Community Watch Events

HWDT are visiting the Clyde area to run a series of community watch events in Gourock, Inverkip and Largs.

This May, thanks to support from Tesco Stronger Starts and Baillie Gifford, we will be visiting the Clyde to work with local people to help us deepen our understanding of the presence and absence of whales and dolphins in the area. We will be hosting a series of Whale Track watching events, working with local boat operators and visiting schools to inspire the next generation.

JOIN A WATCH NEAR YOU

Throughout the week, our Sightings Officer, Sadie, is inviting the local community to join her at our free, drop in watch events across the Clyde.

  • Monday 6 May, 8-9pm, Gourock Train Station

  • Tuesday 7 May, 5:30-6:30pm, Largs Bay Beach

  • Wednesday 8 May, 5 - 6pm, Inverkip War Memorial

Join us to find out what whales and dolphins can be spotted in the Clyde and get involved in helping us deepen our understanding about these animals by conducting a ‘watch from land’ using Whale Track.

We will have a limited supply of binoculars for use during the events.

Drop-in event, no booking required.

A huge thank you to Baillie Gifford, Tesco Stronger Starts, and everyone who used their Tesco blue token customer vote to make these events happen.
