Glengorm Castle overlooks the Atlantic from the northern tip of Mull, where whales and dolphins have even been seen from the castle’s dining room! The 5,000 acre Glengorm Estate and it's coastline are rich in archaeology and wildlife, boasting all of Mull’s charismatic species with the addition of several rarities.

Glengorm Castle is a B&B run by the Nelson family who have owned the castle and estate since the 1970’s. The Nelson’s strive to achieve the balance between farming and conservation and, as a result, founded the Glengorm Wildlife Project in 2013. The Glengorm Wildlife Project is a drive to improve knowledge of the estate’s natural heritage to better aid conservation management. By sharing their findings and passion with guests on guided walks, events and activities, they hope to engage people with nature and help safeguard the future of our wild places.

Glengorm Wildlife Project already works closely with HWDT through regular summer headland watches, activities for schools and scientific monitoring work. The project is passionate about protecting our seas and supporting HWDT in their mission to conduct vital research into the local cetacean populations and to spread the word via HWDT’s education and outreach programme.
