Gaelic Development Intern
Length of contract: Part-time, fixed term contract for 17 weeks.
Salary: £8 per hour.
Start date: 18th June 2018.
An exciting opportunity for a Gaelic speaker to work with the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust to integrate Gaelic into our successful schools programme and make a significant, lasting impact at HWDT.
The focus of this short-term placement will be to develop and adapt our current education resources, specifically for the needs of Gaelic medium classes. Finishing with the opportunity to deliver these resources to schools across the Hebrides, during school visits, floating classroom workshops and headland watches.
This project would suit a Gaelic Language graduate looking to apply their skills and knowledge to promote the use of Gaelic in education. Due to the nature of the project, high level Gaelic language skills are essential for this position.
This position is funded by Bòrd na Gàidhlig, through the Taic Freumhan Coimhearsnachd funding programme.
Closing date for applications is Friday 18th May 2018 at 5pm. Interviews will take place at the HWDT offices in Tobermory, Isle of Mull on the 29th and 30th May.
